Who we are

Right Choice Nannies is a childcare agency introducing families to nannies across North London, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. If you have any question about your information, or you want us to delete it, email contact@rightchoicenannies.co.uk or call +44 7515 661 649.

What we collect, and why

We only collect what you type into one of the two forms on this site. We do not buy information about you, and we do not collect anything in the background beyond what is described under Cookies below.

If you are a parent making an enquiry

Your name, email address, phone number and area; optionally your home address; the type of care you are looking for, your start date, the number of children and their ages, the days and hours you need, any particular requirements you tick, and anything you write in the additional details box.

Some of this is information about your children, and the requirements and details boxes may include health or additional-needs information if you choose to tell us. We ask for it so that we can shortlist nannies who genuinely suit your family rather than sending you everybody on our books. You decide how much to put in those boxes, and you can leave them empty.

If you are a nanny applying

Your name, email address, phone number, the areas you can work in, the role type and availability you are looking for, your years of experience, your DBS status, your paediatric first aid status, whether you drive, your qualifications, whether you have the right to work in the UK and can provide references, anything you write about yourself, and your CV if you attach one.

What we do with it

We use it to answer you, to understand what you need, and to make introductions between families and nannies. When we introduce a nanny to a family we share what is relevant to that introduction, and we tell you before we do it.

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone for marketing.

Where it is kept

Submissions are stored in this website’s own database, on our hosting in the United Kingdom, and are readable only by signing in to the site. Staff accounts are limited to reading submissions and writing blog posts.

A CV you upload is stored outside the public area of the website, so it cannot be reached by guessing a web address. It can only be downloaded by a signed-in member of staff. Deleting an application deletes its CV.

The notification emails we receive when a form is submitted deliberately do not contain your answers — only that a submission arrived, and a link to read it after signing in.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and applications for as long as we are working with you, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. If you ask us to delete your information we will do so, and that includes any CV you sent.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Email contact@rightchoicenannies.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress sets a cookie if you sign in to the site, which only applies to staff. The map on the homepage loads its tiles from OpenStreetMap, which sets no cookies.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
